In total there are six eras. Every era will bring it's own engines which you can research, upgrade and buy for your company.

 

1.Ogre
The Ogre is the first engine of this era. It can pull up to eleven waggons and you can add eight upgrades in total. A Induction loop (+15km/h Speed), Voltage tapper (+15km/h Speed), Smoothing choke (+2 Acceleration), Bridge rectifier (+2 Acceleration), Propulsion transformer (+1 Tractive force), Main transformer (+1 Tractive force), Dixon protection (+15% Reliability) and a Commutator thread (+15% Reliability).

2.Phoenix
The Phoenix is the second engine of this era and with it's low acceleration it can pull up to thirteen waggons. You can upgrade it five time with a Triple coil (+1 Tractive force), Stabilisers (+20% Reliabilty), Voltage regulator (+30km/h Speed),  Neck beard (+10km/h Speed) and an Inverter (+1 Acceleration).

3.Pegasus
The Pegasus has a very low acceleration and is better suitable for shorter tracks. It can pull up to twelve waggons and it has six upgrades. An Electric clutch (+2 Tractive force), Inverter (+1 Tractive force), Incinometer (+30km/h Speed), Transmission (+2 Acceleration), Reinforced wheel shaft (+25% Reliability) and a Quill (+15% Reliability).

4.Lindworm
The Lindworm is the fourth engine and had a medium acceleration. The amount of waggons this engine can pull is thirteen and you're able to install five upgrades. A Hope condensator (+2 Tractive force), Squirrel-cage rotor (+15% Reliability), Current converer (+3 Acceleration), Electric brakes (+20km/h Speed) and a Software update (+20km/h Speed).

5.Lernaean Hydra
The fifth engine is the Lernaean Hydra with a low acceleration and the ability to pull twenty-seven waggons. You can install four upgrades a Tulles doffiser (+2 Tractive force), Titanium wheels (+1 Tractive force), Incline stabiliser (+20km/h Speed) and a Safety sensor (+20% Reliability).

6.Olympus
The final engine is the Olympus engine, takes five slots in the engine house and has the ability to pull sixty five waggons at once. It's a great engine to use especially during the end game. You can install eight upgrades. A Traction motor (+15 Tractive force), Support struts (+5 Tractive force), IGBT inverter (+5 Acceleration), Commutator (+2 Acceleration), Plasma converter (+30km/h Speed), Control computer (+20km/h Speed), Axis stabiliser (+20% Reliability) and a Improved suspension (+15% Reliability).
